Issue/Introduction

Unable to login to vCenter server using domain account.

Could not start pschealth service using --start command.

messages logs shows below errors:

vCenter and host times are in sync , no clock sync issues.

Environment

vCenter server 7.x

Cause

PSC health service checks the health of vmdir, vmafd, license service and certificate service.

If any of these services has any faults, pschealth service will be in stopped state.

Resolution

  • Identify the issue with respective service which are showing as error in vmdir.
  • Restarting all services helps to resolves the issue.
  • Below command to restart all services:

         service-control --stop --all && service-control --start --all
