Issue/Introduction

Implementing SiteMinder to use VIP Services as OIDC Provider, when configuring the "VIP Authentication Hub scheme" in the AdminUI, the drop down list for Application doesn't show the "VIP Application SiteMinder as OIDC Client" that are created previously in VIP Services.

Resolution

This issue has several causes and solution:

  1. This issue can occur if the "Redirect URL" isn't configured in the "VIP Policy Configuration":

VIP Authentication Hub Template not populating Application list

  2. This issue can occur if in AdminUI, the "authentication policy management" within VIP Authentication Hub Provider object is empty:

"Application" does not get displayed when creating VIP Auth Hub authentication scheme

VIP Authentication Hub Provider not populated with correct App ID

Make sure that the "Redirect URL" value ends with "/bctokencontroller" and not "/oauthtokenconsumer".

Finally, ensure that the Application name defined in the "VIP Policy Configuration" should have as characters only letter, number or space.
