Change the recipient of SpanVA related alerts

Issue/Introduction

You need to change the recipient of notifications or alerts generated by SpanVA integrated with your CASB tenant. For example the "SpanVA State Backup Restore Alert Email" notifications.

Resolution

E-mail notifications are sent to the e-mail address of the SpanVA owner and the e-mail addresses listed in the CloudSOC SpanVA configuration under the "Enable SpanVA Connectivity notifications". Both will need to be adjusted to change the recipient/s.

 

Change the SpanVA owner


To change the owner of the SpanVA integration follow the steps listed in the below knowledge base article:

Change the e-mail addresses listed in the "SpanVA Connectivity notifications"

  1. Log in to the CloudSOC Console.
  2. Navigate to "Settings" in the top section of the screen.



  3. Go to the CloudSOC SpanVA tab of the settings



  4. Change the tab to "SpanVA Setup"



  5. If the "Enable SpanVA Connectivity notifications" checkbox is disabled no further action is necessary and the following steps can be ignored.



  6. If the checkbox is marked remove the old recipient by using the "X" button next to the e-mail address. 



  7. Enter the new e-mail address into the "Enter email address" entry box. The e-mail address must belong to an existing CloudSOC user. As the e-mail address is entered into the box the Console will suggest the matching user. Click on the matching user.



  8. Lastly to apply the changes hit the "Update" button, which will be automatically activated after removing and/or adding users.
