Issue/Introduction

There have been reports of the PGP Encryption Desktop client software running into installation or boot issues on Windows with the ARM architecture (Advanced RISC Machines).

Additionally, Microsoft has released a new edition of Windows 11 for ARM processors which use non-x86 type architecture. This article will discuss compatibility, certification and support for the ARM architecture and PGP Encryption Desktop.

Resolution

ARM Support/Compatibility/Certification is now available in PGP Encryption Desktop 11.5!

"PGP client messaging supports ARM64 hardware
Enhanced PGP Encryption client to support messaging on ARM64. The users can install the PGP client on the ARM64 hardware to use the PGP client Desktop messaging feature.

To obtain the PGP Encryption Desktop 11.5, you can first upgrade the PGP Encryption Server, and then create your client.
