Issue/Introduction

There have been reports of the PGP Encryption Desktop client software running into installation or boot issues on Windows with the ARM architecture (Advanced RISC Machines).

Additionally, Microsoft has released a new edition of Windows 11 for ARM processors which use non-x86 type architecture. This article will discuss compatibility, certification and support for the ARM architecture and PGP Encryption Desktop.

Resolution

ARM Support/Compatibility/Certification is currently being worked on by our Engineering and Product Management teams and will be available in a future release targeted for the end of 2025.

Reach out to Symantec Encryption Support for further guidance and to be added to this request.
