Troubleshooting backup of the vCenter Server failing after VCSA upgrade

Issue/Introduction
Manual initiation of a file-based backup of the VCSA fails.
File-based backup is persistently failing
Environment
VMware vCenter Version 8.x
Resolution
- Check if the backup server has enough space to store the backup.
- Backup could have lost it's protocol after upgrading thus check that the protocol settings are still persistent.
- Check with a different backup target with the same protocol and see if it works fine.
- Check with a different backup protocol with the current backup target.
- If the above did not resolve your issue please open a ticket with Broadcom with the below details
- Share the output of below commands: (Replace username and password)
/usr/bin/curl --fail -u <username>:<password> --connect-timeout 10 --noproxy * --silent --show-error --list-only -v 'sftp://<sftp_server_ip>:/BackupRestore/VMware/vcf/vcenter/vCenter/<vcenter_fqdn>/'
/usr/bin/curl --fail -u <username>:<password> --connect-timeout 10 --noproxy * --silent --show-error --list-only -v 'sftp://<sftp_server_ip>:/BackupRestore/VMware/vcf/vcenter/vCenter/<vcenter_fqdn>/'
- Note: Kindly confirm the backup location as well before executing the above command.
