Issue/Introduction

This article contains additional information on issues resolved in Patch 2 for Aria Automation and Aria Automation Orchestrator services in 8.18.0.

Environment

Resolution

Automation

• Internal server error when listing Secrets page
• Internal server error on Cloud Zones page in certain case
• Unable to delete image mappings ("forbidden Error id: e****")
• Failed to publish event to topic:Deployment requested which required a restart to resolve.

Issues resolved in Patch 1:

Note: These are cumulative and included in Patch 2.

• • Day 2 actions, for deployments pending approval during the upgrade, are stuck
  • vCenter cloud account API errors out with "unable to find valid certification path to requested target"

Orchestrator

• contentVerified:false response on certain Orchestrator API calls
• Aria Automation takes hours to discover new dynamic types in Orchestrator
• Workflows using Node.js, Python or PowerShell might fail
• Updates to command.execute to revert behavior to pre 8.18 release.

Review Installed Patch History:

1. To view the history of patches, click Patches > History.
   
2. Click on History.
   Note: Alternatively, the vracli version patch command may be used to validate that the patch is installed.
   Note: The product version and build numbers reported via the Aria Automation GUI will not change after installing any patches. Please use the steps below to validate the patch installation.
   1. Login to one of the Aria Automation appliances via an SSH session.
   2. Run the following command:
      vracli version patch
   3. Verify the patch installed matches the build number 2440497.
