Issue/Introduction

 

  • You're using federation environment 
  • When the Global Manager is activated, only one Local Manager synchronizes successfully, while the other Local Manager shows a status of FAILED
  • Unable to re-establish communication between both Global Managers and their respective Local Managers.
  • the following errors were found in the Global Manager XA-DC-NSX-GLOBAL logs:

Environment

NSX Version 4.1.X

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 4.2.0, available at Broadcom downloads.

If you are having difficulty finding and downloading software, please review the Download Broadcom products and software KB.

Workaround:

The problem was fixed by rebooting the GM appliances

Additional Information

There is no impact to Dataplane. There was downtime when the GM entered this state of not being able to establish connectivity with the LM, and the connectivity issue can be resolved by reboot each node in the GM cluster.
