Issue/Introduction

Does SMG support S/MIME encryption?

Resolution

Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) does not support signing the email messages with S/MIME.
There is the possibility to integrate SMG with Symantec Content Encryption to encrypt outbound messages.
Additionally, SMG allows for the enabling of secure email delivery using TLS certificates.
