CDM 7.21 does not START (CRASH) on AIX 7.2.* CDM 7.20 and earlier works fine

Issue/Introduction

When we deploy CDM 7.21 on AIX 7.* the probe crashes and never starts and it creates core dumps. 

SOFTWARE PROGRAM ABNORMALLY TERMINATED

it works fine with CDM 7.20

 

Environment

DX UIM 23.4.*

CDM 7.21

Cause

There is a defect on the probe that affects upgrades from 7.20 to 7.21 on AIX machines. Fresh install of 7.21 may work well. 

Resolution

The attached fix cdm 7.21HF1 addresses this issue. 

 

Steps to apply the Fix: 

1. download the package

2. Import to IM or Admin Console Archive

3. upgrade the CDM probe from 7.20 to 7.21HF1
