Error: "class java.lang.NullPointerException" when trying to delete Edge gateway from the VMware Cloud Director UI

Issue/Introduction

• When deleting the Edge Gateway, you get the error below:
  
  [ ####-####-####-####-####] class java.lang.NullPointerException


• The Organization and the Organization VDC using the Edge Gateway have been already deleted but the Edge Gateway is still present on the provider portal.  
  
  
• The Edge Gateway was already deleted in NSX-V
  
  
• The issue occurred even when Organization VDCs were migrated across NSX-V to NSX-T and stale edges were left behind int he NSX-V environment. 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

The issue occurs when the edge gateway has been deleted from NSX and not from the VMware Cloud Director (VCD) UI.
When deleting the objects from NSX, VCD is not informed of the deletion and the object information are still stored on the VCD database. 

Resolution

The edge gateway entries have to be removed from the VCD database.
