NSX Global-manager UI reporting incorrect number of segments under Network Overview Tab

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• NSX-T 3.0 and above.
• The NSX Global Manager (GM) UI shows an inaccurate count of segments within the Network Overview Tab under the SEGMENTS section

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center, VMware NSX

 

 

Cause

The GM UI Network Overview SEGMENTS section counts only the segments created by GM. The Distributed Virtual Portgroup (DVPG) created by vCenter and logical segments created by the local NSX manager (LM) are not included.

Resolution

There is no operational impact, it's a cosmetic UI behavior, which is fixed in NSX version 4.2.1
