Issue/Introduction
On May 14, 2024, Broadcom announced that VMware Desktop Hypervisor (VMware Fusion Pro & VMware Workstation Pro) is available free for personal use. For details on this and subscription options, refer to the following blog post.
Note: No license key is required for Personal Use. When installing either application, you will be asked for a License Key and there will be an option to select for Personal Use.
Below is information on how to download VMware Fusion Pro / Workstation Pro for Personal Use

- VMware Fusion Pro 13.0.x for Personal Use
- VMware Fusion Pro 13.5.x for Personal Use
- VMware Workstation Pro 17.0.x for Personal Use
- VMware Workstation Pro 17.5.x for Personal Use
Resolution
The following table provides links to the download locations of VMware Fusion Pro and VMware Workstation Pro. Please refer to the downloads labeled with "for Personal Use" at the end of the product name.
