Issue/Introduction

Unable to enable BrowserAgent in Tomcat and Websphere appserver as the extension is missing

Environment

DX APM Java Agents 10.8.x

Cause

Defect in the Release Process:

the BA extension has only been included in the Java Agent default package but not in the app server agents packages.

we are planning to fix this issue in the next 10.8.x release update. For an update contact Broadcom Support.

Resolution

Workarounds:

1)  Download in addition the 10.8 Default Java Agent to obtain a copy of the BrowserAgent extension:

2) You can use latest Agents from SaaS, make sure to enable the BA extension

Here is an example, if you need to download a tomcat agent

a) select configure package:

b) enable Browser Agent
