Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to SEE 12 unable to access the WebConsole :

"Error 500.31 - Failed to load ASP.NET Core runtime" 

Environment

Symantec Endpoint Encryption 12.0.x

Cause

Prerequisite item ASP.Net Core Runtime 6 Hosting Bundle was missing.

Resolution

Install the Windows Hosting Bundle for ASP.NET Core Runtime 6 (64-bit installer) Download .NET 6.0

 

Once this is installed, run the SEE 12 Prerequisite Verifier Utility and ensure nothing else is missing.
