Virtual Machine Nic disconnect with SRM workflow for vMotion.

Issue/Introduction

• Virtual machine on DR site loses network connectivity when click on the TEST DR tab of the SRM.
• VM network adapter stays connected in VC. however, the Link is Down in Guest OS.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.5.2

Cause

NSX 2.5.2 introduced rekeying of vif for SRM but did not cover the case where protected site and recovery site ESXs are in different transport zones.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 3.0.2, available at Broadcom downloads.

Workaround:
Disconnect the network adapter and reconnecting will fix the issue.
