NSX Edge Loadbalancer Heath Monitor does not send HTTP v1.1 to Backend Servers

Issue/Introduction

NSX-V is at the End of General Support, no feature requests will be implemented (https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/85706)

Symptoms:

• NSX-V Edge Load Balancer Health Monitor only uses HTTP v1.0 for it's health checks to backend pool members.
• If a pool member does not respond to HTTP v1.0 traffic, it will not respond to the LB health check, and pool members will reported as DOWN.

(Note that health check responses back to the load balancer can be HTTP v1.1.)

Environment

VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere 6.4.x

Cause

It is a limitation on the monitoring heath check for haproxy and built in (Nagios)

Resolution

There is no resolution.

Workaround:
Allow pool members to respond to HTTP v1.0 traffic.
