Issue/Introduction
This knowledge article is to provide general information on the End of Availability announcement for the VMware NSX Data Center SKUs.
VMware would like to inform you regarding the end of availability of VMware NSX Data Center licenses.
General support for the current NSX Data Center for vSphere platform (NSX-V) which is part of the entitlement of the NSX Data Center products will end on January 16, 2022, and technical guidance will end on January 16, 2023.
Customers who have purchased NSX Data Center are also entitled to the NSX-T Data Center platform (NSX-T) and can migrate to NSX-T as a replacement platform for NSX Data Center for vSphere platform (NSX-V).
New VMware NSX-T licenses are available for customers who wish to purchase perpetual licenses. Term-based licensing will be available soon. Please refer to the table below for a list of licenses impacted and the availability of new licenses.
