NSX-T Infrastructure service "nsx-cfgagent" down

Issue/Introduction

• Infrastructure service down
• The service nsx-cfgagent has been unresponsive
• Alarm says "Verify nsx-cfgagent service is still running by invoking `/etc/init.d/nsx-cfgagent status`".

Environment

VMware NSX

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 3.1.3, available at Broadcom downloads.

Workaround:

If the service is reported as running, it may need to get restarted which can be done by

 

/etc/init.d/nsx-cfgagent stop
 
Wait for 30 seconds and then start the service using following command 

/etc/init.d/nsx-cfgagent start
