NSX-T Infrastructure service "nsx-cfgagent" down

Issue/Introduction

• Infrastructure service down
• The service nsx-cfgagent has been unresponsive
• Alarm says "Verify nsx-cfgagent service is still running by invoking `/etc/init.d/nsx-cfgagent status`".

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center
VMware NSX

Cause

Bug in software

Resolution

Resolved in NSX-T version 3.1.3

Workaround:
If the service is reported as running, it may need to get restarted which can be done by

 

/etc/init.d/nsx-cfgagent restart
 
If the service is not running, start the service using following command 

/etc/init.d/nsx-cfgagent start
