VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle upgrade check fails when in vCF-aware mode

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Check for upgrade fails in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle (formerly vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager),
• Aria Suite Lifecycle is in VCF-aware mode.
• You see an error on the System Upgrade tab:

Some exception occurred while checking VCF supported versions for upgrade: Could not get VCF BOM details. Please check if SDDC Manager is up and running and VCF BOM is present inside vRSLCM.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.x

Cause

This issue occurs if VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Product Support Pack is not installed, or its version is too low.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, update to the latest Product Support Pack and retry the upgrade.

• Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager version 8.12 and above.
