Convert VMs to use High Frequency (LWD-Based) Snapshots fails in VMware Live Cyber Recovery

Issue/Introduction

The following error is seen when attempting to create a High Frequency snapshot on a VM that was previously backed up using Standard Frequency snapshots - "VM VM_Name high-frequency snapshot failed. The VM has app-consistent snapshots. Contact support."

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.27.x

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.26.x

Cause

The conversion to High Frequency snapshots from a Standard Frequency snapshot Protection Group will fail until a feature flag is enabled to allow the conversion.

Resolution

If attempting to create a High Frequency snapshot of a previous Standard Frequency snapshot VM and are getting the above error, please proceed with filing a support case with VMware by Broadcom Support and provide the following information:

- Org ID of the deployment
- Protection Group Name(s) 
- Screenshot of error being seen
- Virtual Machine names
- Support Bundle ID

Before filing the SR, please ensure to enable remote access on all Connectors in the VLCR deployment. 

Note: Once the Feature Flag is enabled, it is required to restart the drcAgent in the Connector(s) or reboot of the connector(s)
