Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
You have more than 1000 IP Pools configured.
When installing NSX-T on a host to make it a transport node, you have chosen IP Assignment as IP Pool.
When you attempt to select the desired IP Pool form the list presented, you are unable to find the desired IP Pool.
Environment
VMware NSX-T Data Center VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x
Cause
The configuration uses API calls to gather data. API calls have a default limit of 1,000 results. When there is more than 1,000 IP Pools, it is unable to present all entries.
Resolution
This is a known issue impacting NSX-T.
Workaround: The IP Pools are sorted in an ascending alphabetical order. When configuring a host, to ensure you see the desired IP Pool, prior to install, rename the pool, so it is starts with a letter which will appear in the first 1,000 entries. For example, here we change the pool name from "Pool_TEP" to "A_Pool_TEP", so that the IP Pool will now be higher on the presented list.
