NSX-T host preparation fails with error "Credentials for the host need to be specified"

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When preparing a host for NSX-T, you see an error message indicating: 

     Credentials for the host need to be specified.

• When adding the transport node profile and configuring NSX, an error is noted indicating that the IP already exists for that node. 

• Checking NSX-T manager log /var/log/proton/nsxapi.log, you can see similar messages:

Cause

This issue can occur due to inconsistent records in the NSX corfu DB.

Resolution

This is a known issue impacting NSX-T Data Center.
