NSX host preparation fails with error "Credentials for the host need to be specified"

Issue/Introduction

• When preparing a host for NSX-T, the following error is displayed: 

     Credentials for the host need to be specified.

• When adding the transport node profile and configuring NSX, an error may be noted indicating that the IP already exists for that node. 

• NSX-T manager log /var/log/proton/nsxapi.log, shows messages similar to the following:

Cause

This issue can occur due to inconsistent records in the NSX Corfu database.

Resolution

This is a known issue impacting NSX.
