How to find the Open Source Component, Product and Version included for a VMware Product

Issue/Introduction

This article provide steps on finding out the version of an Open Source Component and Products that are installed on any VMware Product with a specific build/version.

Resolution

To find out the version of an Open Source Component that is installed on any VMware Product with a specific build/version:

  1. Navigate to the My Downloads page.

    Download Broadcom products and software

  2. Search or select the product

    example vCenter Server

  3. Select the Release Version under Products


  4. Select the Open Source Tab


     
  5. Expand the VMware Product version that contains the Open Source with File type: txt and click DOWNLOAD button

  6. Open the open_source_licenses_*.txt file and navigate to look for the Open Source Component/Product/version you are interested in.

    Note: The name of the open_source_licenses.txt file may differ depending on which product you are looking to get information on.
