Migrate VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere to VMware NSX before upgrading to vSphere 8.0

Issue/Introduction

1. If VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere is pre-deployed and vSphere is upgraded to version 8.0, vCenter upgrade to 8.0 will be blocked.
2. If VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere is pre-deployed and vSphere is upgraded to version 8.0, ESXi upgrade to 8.0 will be blocked.
3. If vSphere is upgraded to version 8.0 without any pre-deployed VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere in the environment, registration of VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere will be blocked.
4. If vSphere is upgraded to version 8.0 without any pre-deployed VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere in the environment, installation of VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere on ESXi hosts will be blocked

Resolution

You will need first to migrate to VMware NSX by referring to the Migration Guide
Note: 

• All versions of VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere will not be supported with vSphere 8.0
