How to allocate more memory to Solr

Issue/Introduction

Increase memory allocated to Solr to resolve performance issues
 

Environment

• EDR Server: 6.2.3 and Higher

Resolution

1. Edit /etc/cb/cb.conf
2. Add the field MaximumSolrMemoryPercent
   • Example memory set to 60%

MaximumSolrMemoryPercent=60

3. Restart services

Additional Information

• Solr is allocated 40% by default
• Setting the value too high can have adverse affects to other resources
