Issue/Introduction

Steps to create a full backup of the Server database (das).

Environment

• App Control Server: All Versions
• Microsoft SQL Server: All Versions

Resolution

Manually:

Please follow the steps outlined by Microsoft to Create a Full Database Backup.

Automatically:

Please follow the DAS Database Backup Best Practices.

Additional Information

• If the machine has both the App Control Server and DAS database on it, a snapshot can be taken as a backup.
• If the machine only has the App Control Server and not the DAS database, i.e. the DAS database is stored on another machine, taking a snapshot of the App Control Server as a backup is not an option.
