Issue/Introduction
The transition to Broadcom systems is nearly complete. On Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m. (PDT), the VMware Customer Connect system will no longer be available to VMware customers.
You will soon receive or may have recently received an email from Broadcom with instructions on how to activate your NEW Broadcom Support Portal account. Please follow these instructions. Activating your new portal account is the first step in accessing all of the features and functionality of the support portal. Click here if you did not receive an activation email.
Resolution
Here are the first five things you should do once you’ve activated your new portal account.
FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE MY DASHBOARD LANDING PAGE(S) A dashboard will be the first screen you will see once you have activated and logged into your portal account. From the dashboard, you’ll have access to the important features and functionality of the Broadcom Support portal. It’s a good idea to become familiar with these features and functionality, as the dashboard will be your jumping-off-point going forward.
ACCESS YOUR PRODUCTS VIA MY ENTITLEMENTS All of your product entitlements, product downloads, and license keys have been migrated to the Broadcom Support Portal and can be located within the My Entitlements page.
SIGN UP FOR PRODUCT NOTIFICATIONS Product notifications will help you get notified of new product releases, product updates and patches, product advisories, and critical alerts.
FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH CASE MANAGEMENT Our case management system allows you to open, track, and update cases. It is an easier and more convenient way to get technical and non-technical assistance from Broadcom.
JOIN THE BROADCOM COMMUNITIES The Broadcom Community is the place where customers have 24/7 access to collaborate on Broadcom products. The platform goes far beyond social networking. Customers, partners, and Broadcom employees come to these communities to get answers, submit ideas, share best practices, view product tips, attend webcasts, and more. Communities are open to the public for browsing and searching. If you are a registered user, you will have access to comment, vote on product ideation, and more.
NOTE ABOUT VMWARE SUPER USERS
VMware Super Users are migrated to Broadcom Systems as Administrator Users. To find out more about the roles and responsibilities of Administrator Users, click here. Don’t want to be an Administrator User? Click here.
