Issue/Introduction

This article describes how to request access to Broadcom beta software programs, including CA, Symantec, and VMware products.

Resolution

All customers with an Enterprise User profile in the Broadcom Support Portal can access the Trials & Beta tab via the left navigation menu in the support portal.

For Basic users, to build your profile with a Site ID and becoming an Enterprise user, refer to Using your Broadcom Site ID(s) for full support portal access. If you do not have an account in the support portal, register for an account.

Follow the below steps to request access to a Beta

  1. Login to the Broadcom support portalMy Dashboard.
  2. Access the Trials & Beta tab via the left-navigation menu.
  3. Select the appropriate division from the drop-down menu to view open Beta Programs.




  4. Navigate to the Beta / All Beta tab.
  5. Click the “Request to join” button.
  6. Enter a brief description as to why you would like to join the Beta and click “Submit”.



  7. An email confirmation will be sent about the submission of the request.
  8. Once the request is processed (approved or rejected) a communication will be sent via an email.
  9. If the request is approved, to engage in the Beta Communities, you will need to create a profile from the link received in the email and need to click the “Start Beta” button in the Beta Portal to initiate the process.



  10. Enter the Site ID, quantity, and click Submit to place the order



  11. Once the contract order is booked, the Beta Product tile will appear under the My Beta tab. This tab includes details such as contract start and end date, serial number, Site ID and quantity. To obtain the license keys and download binaries, click the appropriate icon within the tile.
