How to Upgrade the Symantec Edge SWG via the GUI Admin Console

Environment

In order to upgrade the Edge SWG via Admin Console,  make sure to follow these guidelines:

• Download the correct SGOS image to your localhost
• Take a backup with All private data: Backup or copy the Edge SWG (ProxySG) configuration via the CLI (SSH) (recommended to get Private data shown in config)
• Follow the correct upgrade path as outlined here: SGOS Upgrade/Downgrade Requirements and Resources

Resolution

To upgrade the Edge SWG

1. Download the .bcsi SGOS file or copy URL link from support.broadcom.com
2. Access Edge SWG Admin Console
3. Go to Administration -> System -> Software System Images
4. Click Add Image:

4. Select URL or Local 
   a) If you select local, please follow instruction in pop up windows, 
   b) if you select URL, use URL link taken in step 1
5. Click on Upload
6. After upload is finished, make sure that the new image is selected as Default. 

7. Select Restart and Load Default.
