Issue/Introduction

Patch 10.9.0-295 for Messaging Gateway is available for download and installation.

This patch addresses the following issues:

  • Users are unable to log into Quarantine if remote syslog is enabled.
  • OpenID Connect configuration is not backed up or restored unless a full backup is used.
  • Administration policies are not correctly backed up or restored unless a full backup is used.
  • In some circumstances, an application error will occur when attempting to view Host Status.
  • In some circumstances, an application error will occur when attempting to import or upload a file to the Control Center or Quarantine.

Symantec Messaging gateway 10.9.0

Resolution

To install patch 10.9.0-295 on Messaging Gateway 10.9.0:

  1. Log into the SMG command line as admin via ssh
  2. Run
    patch -p 10.9.0-295 install

Additional Information

Installing and removing patches for Messaging Gateway

This patch addresses issues where certain critical database tables are not included in some types of limited backups.  Installing this patch will not allow you to safely restore an invalid backup taken before installing the patch.  

Only full backups that were taken before installing this patch may safely be restored.
