Support Portal Support Portal & Access Issues

Issue/Introduction

As a Site Administrator on the Broadcom support portal, learn how to invite an enterprise user to a Site ID.

Before You Begin:

Note that an existing Broadcom Enterprise profile and access to at least one Site ID are required for invited end-users. Without these, the "Invite User" option will not work, and an "Invalid Request: Enterprise Profile Required" message will appear.

Alternatively, a Basic user can build/upgrade their profile for full support portal access by following the instructions in using your Broadcom Site ID(s) for full support portal access. Once the basic user builds their profile, the User Administrator can process the request by following Process pending registration / Site ID access requests.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Broadcom Support Portal.
  2. In the left menu, click My Tools, and then select Administration.

  3. Click the Invite User tab.
  4. Enter the Site ID and email address of the end-user you'd like to associate the Site ID to.

  5. Click Submit.
  6. The end-user will receive an email notification indicating their profile is now associated with the Site ID, and they will now be able to create cases, download software, and generate license keys for products supported under that Site ID.
