IBM DMC web portal auto-login doesn't work

Issue/Introduction

PAM 4.0.1.164, later on upgraded to 4.1.2

HTTP web portal autologin configured for a IBM DMC web service is not injecting the user/password. It hangs and times out.

If I disable the auto-login and enter the credentials manually, it logs me in.  

Environment

Release : 4.1.3 and lower as of June 2023. The upcoming 4.1.4 release is expected to have this problem too.

Cause

The web portal is using the React JS library. React overrides the HTML input element setter and conflicts with the current PAM auto-login implementation for web portals.

Resolution

PAM Engineering provided a test fix on top of 4.1.2 that resolved the problem. This fix will be included in future releases, specifically 4.1.5+ and 4.2+. If you have this problem and need a fix at a lower release, please open a case with PAM Support.
