COMMON SERVICES FOR Z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Looking for the full instructions to install  FMID CFF6F00 and in particular the APACHE TOMCAT portion.

I've come across this: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/142277/is-setup-for-fmid-cff6f00-required-for-i.html

And also this: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-mainframe-software/traditional-management/ca-common-services-for-z-os/15-0/installing/complete-configuration-tasks/deploy-and-configure-ccs-apache-tomcat.html

However as a whole, they are not quite fully clear on completely explaining the installation.  Do you have a document reference that covers this in its entirety?

Thanks.

Resolution

These are the steps for CSM. This maybe more than you need to see:

https://api-broadcom-ca.wolkenservicedesk.com/attachment/get_attachment_content?uniqueFileId=Hpmiv8WzMb0tmr6XtDyMbA== You may use full or custom install:

Be sure CCS Java to z/OS Service is selected. Once you get to step 5 target zone (3/3) update Operating System: SMPJHOME with a valid java path. Update USS Directory: CCS Java to z/OS Service with the path for CFF6F00. This USS directory is equivalent to pathprefix1 in AW006MKD.

In SAMPJCL(AW0SEDIT) it says:

/* @pathprefix1@  - Enter the high level directory path for        */
/*     MOUNT POINT:                                                */
/*     CCS Java to z/OS Service                                    */

In CSM it defaults to /cai/CASoftware/CCS150. I think you will have to update this.

Enter the file owner and group owner ids then proceed. This is all that is required with CSM.
