Unable to edit or delete report schedules in CABI in UIM 20.4

Issue/Introduction

Customer is unable to edit report schedules in CABI, the edit and delete icons are displayed, but they are superimposed over the Enabled checkbox.

Edit and delete buttons are working from Cabi Schedules page directly but not when you are in the Repository and rt-click on the Schedule. 

The customer noticed this and followed a KB Article that fixed the issue in the past:

Then again at some point in the future, they tried to edit the reports but were once again unable to edit them.

As per the customer, there were no changes done to the environment, e.g., in CABI.

So the customer tried to follow the instructions in the KB article again but this time it did not resolve the issue.

Environment

  • Release: 20.4
  • UIM 20.4 CU1
  • cabi 4.30, 7.50

Cause

  • cabi (Jaspersoft server) v7.50

Resolution

Tibco (Jasperserver), Jasperserver version 7.5.0 is at the end of support(EOS) and will not be updated.

Therefore, customers must upgrade to cabi version 8.0.0.

In cabi 8.0.0, Scheduled report options (including the edit and delete buttons), are fully enabled and accessible in both the Repository and the Schedules page.

Additional Information

Workaround is to edit the Schedules directly from the 'Schedules' page but this is not desirable because it allows other users to see and access ALL of the Schedules.

TIBCO officially discontinued support for TIBCO JasperReports Server 7.5.0 as this version was retired on 2022-08-21 and is out of support.
