Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session is being detected as a Server OS

Issue/Introduction

Can Altiris be updated to make Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session systems be detected as a workstation OS?

Any VM's created using Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session are taking up a server license for ITMS.

 

Environment

ITMS 8.5 RU4 with no point fixes.

Cause

The multi-session operating systems return the same product code as a server operating system, and though detected accurately by Basic Inventory and Inventory Solution scans, some filters on the back end may not categorize correctly as Windows 10.

Resolution

Suggestion was to apply the latest SMA_SMP cumulative point fix in the following KB article:

198337 CUMULATIVE POST ITMS 8.5 RU4 POINT FIXES
