Red Hat Channel Import Failing with below error

 

Error:

Failed to register RHN systems, please check that valid RHN userName/password are specified.REST request failed. Response: StatusCode: 400, ReasonPhrase: 'Bad Request', Version: 1.1, Content: System.Net.Http.StreamContent, Headers:

Environment

ITMS 8.5, 8.6

Cause

Issues are due to the use of a new version of Candlepin (software subscription management tool).

This results in an inability to download the required certificates Red Hat uses in their subscription security and verification.

Resolution

This is fixed in ITMS 8.7.


There is a point fix available for ITMS 8.5 RU4, 8.6 RU2 and 8.6 RU3 releases. See:

The changes implemented in the point fixes will provide support for the new version of Candlepin (software subscription management tool).
