Issue/Introduction

Endpoint Status report (Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) console - [Home] - click [View Details] in [Endpoint Status] section) shows incorrect definition version (i.e. date is -1 than actual) for "Antivirus Content" "IPS Signature" "SONAR Content" etc if OS system time zone of SEPM machine is UTC+09:00 (JST) or an earlier time zone like UTC+10:00 (AEST)

If change system time zone to UTC-08:00 (PST), Endpoint Status report shows correct definition version.

Then Symantec Endpoint Protection Daily Status report and Weekly Status report shows incorrect list of the clients by this same cause.

(Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) console - [Reports] - click [Scheduled Reports] tab, there are Administrator Daily Summary Report and Executive Weekly Summary Report by default. )

Environment

  • SEPM 14.3 RU5

Backup <SEPM install folder>\Inetpub\Reporting\Reports\daily_report.php to another folder outside SEPM install folder.
Backup <SEPM install folder>\Inetpub\Reporting\Reports\weekly_report.php to another folder outside SEPM install folder.
  3. Replace <SEPM install folder>\Php\Include\Util\I18nUtil.php with new one that you downloaded in step 1.
Replace <SEPM install folder>\Inetpub\Reporting\Reports\daily_report.php with new one that you downloaded in step 1.
Replace <SEPM install folder>\Inetpub\Reporting\Reports\weekly_report.php with new one that you downloaded in step 1.

Note: Remember to replace these files with the original backup files before upgrading SEPM to future release.
