14.3 RU5 で vietool を実行すると SEP のインストールが見つからない

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.3 RU5 64 ビット Windows OS 用クライアントで vietool.exe を実行すると以下のエラーが表示される。

PS C:\vietool> .\vietool.exe c: --generate
6/22/2022 9:55:55 AM ERROR: Unable to find SEP installation (Software\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\InstalledApps) (Error code: 2)

Resolution

14.3 RU5 からは、64 ビットクライアントでは 64 ビット版の vietool (vietool64.exe) を使用する必要があります。

vietool64.exe は ダウンロードポータル の Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU5_Refresh_Full_Installation_JP.exe ファイルを 7-zip で解凍した中の ..\Tools\Virtualization\VirtualImageException フォルダに含まれています。
