Modern UX Not Displaying Start and Finish Date After Adding Project Staff

Issue/Introduction

The Modern is not showing the fields(Start) and (Finish) when staff is added in a project.

The Classic does display it.

Resolution

This is working as expected. 

• Staffing Start and Finish Date Fields Behavior
  • If the Manager enters in specific Start and Finish Dates in the Staff Allocation, this is identified as an allocation date range that is managed manually.
  • When the Staffing Start and Finish dates are blank, it indicates the duration of the Staff Allocation is using the Investment Start and Finish Dates. 
  • If the Investment Start and Finish dates change, the Staffing Allocations change with it. 
  • If a Start date is entered in the Staff Allocation that is before the Start date of the Investment and the user has the ability to edit the Investment, the Investment Start Date will move. 
  • If a Finish date is entered in the Staff Allocation that is before the Finish date of the Investment and the user has the ability to edit the Investment, the Investment Finish Date will move.  
• Classic UX Display 
  • The Classic UX uses a 'mask' to display the Investment Start and Finish dates on the Staff Allocation rows over the blank value from the PRTEAM table. 
• Modern UX Display
  • The generic grids in Modern UX do not have any special logic built-in for display purposes on any fields.
  • Therefore, the Staff Allocation Start and Finish Dates will display a blank or a manually entered date value. 
  • The STAFF Module and Staffing Workspace: Staff Grid provide the user with both the "Investment" and "Staff" date fields which can be configured in the columns on the grid or configured on the Details Fly-out.
  • In Release 16.0.2, the administrator can create a Tool Tip on the Staffing date fields to provide contextual information to end-users about the behavior of these fields. 
  • Configure Tooltips (New in Release 16.0.2!)
    1. Go to Administration, Attributes 
    2. Filter for the 'Team' Object 
    3. Add the 'Tooltip' field to the grid column 
    4. For the 'Start' (pravailstart) field add a Tooltip suggestion: Blank date uses Investment Start Date. 
    5. For the 'Finish' (pravailfinish) field add a Tooltip suggestion: Blank date uses Investment Finish Date.
