Issue/Introduction
How do you delete a Microsoft Project (MSP) project from a computer / machine (including both the mpp and xml files)? Sometimes this is needed to resolve machine-specific issues with one project.
Environment
Clarity Microsoft Project Interface
Resolution
Take a backup of the impacted project's mpp and xml files if they are still on the machine. Notes:
These files will be found in your MSP Default Save location (Typically your Documents folder).
Look for the file(s) with the project ID as the file name and the type Microsoft Project Document (which will be the mpp file) along with the xml.
Depending on the issue you are facing, one or both of these files may not be found
Delete the mpp and xml associated with the project from the Default Save location (if they are found).
If the project has external dependencies, check for the tempstumendpoint file. If it's there, delete that file.
If the project has any subprojects, delete those as well.
Take a backup of the registry
Delete the project from the registry:
Go to Start->Regedit
Navigate to hkcurrentUser\Software\Niku\Schedulers\MPPLookup
