Article ID: 224421

Updated On:

CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM) CA Privileged Access Manager - Server Control (PAMSC) CA Privileged Identity Management Endpoint (PIM)

The PAM cluster was upgraded to 4.0 and a utility server was successfully added, but PAMSC devices are not being created when the endpoints register. In the session logs, the following message is observed.

PAM-CMN-0371: Configuring device _____ as a PAMSC device will exceed the number of licensed PAMSC devices

Prior to PAM 4.0, PAMSC devices were not included in the license. If a PAM appliance was licensed prior to the upgrade, Server Control will be marked as disabled in the System Info.

Privileged Access Manager 4.0

PAM Server Control 14.0, 14.1

Open a case with the licensing team and request a new license with Server Control enabled for each appliance. After applying the new license, System Info will now look something similar to this.

Additional Information

We have the following KB which explains how to open a case with the licensing team.
