Folder exclusion isn't working on Endpoint Protection for Mac 14.3 MP1

Issue/Introduction

You configured a folder exclusion in Exceptions policy but it's not working as expected on Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for Mac 14.3 MP1 client.

For example, you configured a folder exception in the exceptions policy similar to the following screenshot, but the SEP for Mac 14.3 MP1 client still detects files under /Volumes/TM/ folder.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3.3384.1000 (14.3 RU1). For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, see Download the latest version of Symantec software.

To work around the issue, set folder path like

 /Volumes/TM/* 

in this example (add asterisk).
