Ghost Boot Disk Wizard を利用し CD/DVD, USB （フラッシュメモリ）による Ghost ブートディスクを作成する手順を説明します。

Ghost Standard Tools のインストール

Boot Disk Creator でブートディスクを作成するには Ghost Standard Tools をインストールします。
インストールはウィザードに沿って進めてください。

※ 適用先は Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 等の 64 bit 環境をご利用ください。

インストールファイル名：

- Ghost 3.3 (現行最新リリース RU11)
Symantec_Ghost_Standard_Tools_3_3_RU11.msi

ブートディスクの作成

ブートディスクを作成する手順は下記のとおりです。

1．Windows ADK の入手とインストール
2．Boot Disk Creator のセットアップ
3．Boot Disk Creator 構成の作成
4．ブートディスクの作成

詳細ステップ:

1．Windows ADK の入手とインストール

1-1. Microsoft 社の下記リンクより、ADKをダウンロードします。
インストール先マシンの OS が Windows 10 以外の場合でも下記をダウンロードします。

※GSS 3.3 RU5 以降をご利用の場合 "Windows ADK for Windows 10, version 2004" と Windows PE のアドオン "Windows PE add-on for ADK, version 2004" をダウンロードしてください。

1-2. ADKをインストールします。
インストールする機能は以下の２つとなります。

・ Deployment Tools
・ Windows Preinstallation Environment

※ ADK 1809 以降では adksetup.exe を実行して "Deployment Tools" をインストールし、adkwinpesetup.exe を実行して "Windows Pre installation Environment" を個別にインストールする必要があります。

2．Boot Disk Creator のセットアップ

2-1. [スタート] > [すべてのプログラム] > [Symantec Ghost] > [Boot Disk Creator] をクリックします。

2-2. [ツール] > [プリブートオペレーティングシステムのインストール] をクリックします。

2-3. "WinPE 10.0 - X64"を選択し、画面下部の [プレインストール ADK] (もしくは [Pre-installed ADK]) を選択後、[参照] ボタンをクリックしてADKのインストールフォルダのパスを指定し、[次へ] をクリックします。

※インストール済み ADK のフォルダパスを参照しても [次へ] がクリックできない場合、バージョンフォルダ(\10)ではなく上位のフォルダ（\Windows Kits) 指定をお試し下さい。

2-4. インストールが終了したら [完了] をクリックします。

3．Boot Disk Creator 構成の作成

3-1. [ファイル] > [新規構成] をクリックします。

3-2. [構成名] 画面で、 [この構成の名前を入力する] に任意の名前を入力し、
[この構成のプリブートオペレーションシステム] で使用する OS を選択後、
[OEM拡張機能] で "GSS" を選択して、[次へ]をクリックします。

もし [OEM 拡張機能] が一覧に存在しない場合は、再度インストールしたファイルをお確かめ下さい。

※ ブートディスクを作成する場合 "Ghost Standard Tools" (Symantec_Ghost_Standard_Tools_<VERSION>.msi) をインストールする必要があります。

※ドライバ情報のロード処理に時間がかかる事があります。

3-3. [Windows PE ハードウェアデバイスドライバ] 画面は、[次へ] をクリックします。

※特殊なドライバを追加する必要がある場合のみ [ディスク使用] > [参照] から .infファイルを指定して追加してください。
追加するドライバはイメージターゲットの OS にかかわらず Windows 10 用が必要となります。

※ドライバが追加されているか確認するには [構成] の作成後、追加したドライバのフォルダが下記の Drivers フォルダ配下に追加されていることを確認します

3-4. [TCP/IP プロトコルの設定] 画面は "DHCP Server からIPアドレスを取得する" もしくは "静的IPアドレスを使用する" を選択のうえ、固定したいIPアドレスを入力します。

3-5. [オプションコンポーネント] 画面は、[次へ] をクリックし、[完了] をクリックします。

4．ブートディスクの作成

4-1. 作成済構成を右クリックし、[ブートディスクの作成] をクリックします。

4-2. [ブートディスクのメディアタイプ] 画面で、[ブートメディアタイプ] (ISO もしくはディスク) を選択し [ブートタスクタイプ] は外付け USB ストレージデバイス (USB HDD）にイメージを取得する場合は "スタンドアロンブート" を選択します。

ネットワークを介してイメージを取得 (GhostCast Server 利用）する場合は "ネットワークブート" を選択します。

※両対応のブートディスクは作成できません。

次に、[ブートメディアプロセッサタイプ] は "x64" を選択し、ISOを作成する場合にはファイルの保存先パスを指定して、[次へ] をクリックします。

4-3. [ブートディスクの作成] 画面が表示され、ブートディスクの作成が始まります。完了まで数分かかります。

4-4. [ブートディスクの作成の完了] 画面が表示されたら [閉じる] ボタンをクリックします。

4-5. ISO ファイルを作成した場合には Windows の OS 標準機能を用いて DVD に書き込み (ISO イメージ書込み) をおこないます。

作成した Ghost 起動ディスク (CD/DVD, USB フラッシュメモリ）から端末を起動し Ghost イメージの取得、復元実施してください。

Overview

This article describes the procedure for creating a Ghost Boot Disk using CD/DVD or USB (Flash Memory) via the Ghost Boot Disk Wizard. This procedure applies to Ghost Standard Tools 3.3.

Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022 (64-bit environments)

Prerequisites: Installing Ghost Standard Tools

To create a boot disk using the Boot Disk Creator, you must first install Ghost Standard Tools on your workstation.

Installer Name: Symantec_Ghost_Standard_Tools_3_3_RU11.msi (or the latest available RU version).
Download: Obtain the installer from the Broadcom Product Download Center.
Sysprep Warning: If you plan to use Sysprep for cloning, it must be executed on the source OS with the "Shutdown" option before capturing the image. Sysprep cannot be run within the WinPE environment. [33473193]

Step 1: Obtain and Install Windows ADK

When using GSS 3.3 RU5 or later, the following specific ADK versions are required regardless of your target OS version. [33635726]

Download "Windows ADK for Windows 10, version 2004" and the "Windows PE add-on for ADK, version 2004" from the Microsoft site.
- Download and install the Windows ADK
Run the ADK installer (adksetup.exe) and install "Deployment Tools."
Run the PE add-on installer (adkwinpesetup.exe) and install the "Windows Preinstallation Environment."

Step 2: Set Up Boot Disk Creator

Launch Boot Disk Creator via [Start] > [All Programs] > [Symantec Ghost].
Click [Tools] > [Install Pre-boot Operating Systems].
Select "WinPE 10.0 - X64," choose [Pre-installed ADK], and browse to the ADK installation folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10).
- Note: If the "Next" button remains grayed out, try selecting the parent folder (Windows Kits) instead.

Step 3: Create a Boot Disk Configuration

Click [File] > [New Configuration] and enter a unique name.
Select the Pre-boot OS and choose "GSS" under [OEM Extensions].
If specific drivers are required, add the Windows 10 version .inf files in the [Windows PE Hardware Device Drivers] screen.
Configure TCP/IP settings (DHCP or Static IP) and click Finish.

Step 4: Create the Boot Media

Right-click your created configuration and select [Create Boot Disk].
Select the media type (ISO or Disk).
- Standalone Boot: For capturing images directly to local/external USB storage.
- Network Boot: For capturing images over a network via GhostCast Server.

- Do not simply copy the ISO file onto the DVD as a data file.
- Use a disc-burning tool (such as the Windows "Burn disc image" feature) to write the ISO as a bootable image.
