After upgrading to DS 8.5 RU4, some folders are missing for the image builds

Issue/Introduction

The customer noticed that after upgrading to Deployment Solution 8.5 RU4, the following folder locations did not have any folder and or files under it that they needed for their builds (see below)

D:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Deployment\BDC\bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe\x64\Base\Windows\System32

D:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Deployment\BDC\bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe\x64\Base\Windows\System32\Add-AgentForProxy\Files\AgentInstaller

Is there some sort of backup that would have been done for these?

Resolution

There is a kind of backup of data during upgrade, but the upgrade process backups a hardcoded list of folders. 

It stores data from:

Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Win32\X86\Deployment

Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Win32\X64\Deployment  

Notification Server\NSCap\bin\UNIX\Deployment\Linux\x86\Automation\LinInstall_x86

Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Deployment\BDC\bootwiz\Platforms\

and some agent folders.

Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Deployment\BDC is a junction to Deployment\BDC, so the correct path is Deployment\BDC.

However, there are no backups for the OEM folder.

DS 8.5 RU4 no longer needs 2 files from Base\Windows\System32 (shutdown.exe and msi.dll), they are no longer being copied.
