Message VAN0289E ACB SAMSACB  did not Open, Error Code 5A in the Vantage Started task log.

PARMLIB(CONFIG) parameter COMP=SNA  is causing this if VIEW/3270 is not being used

Resolution

PARMLIB(CONFIG) parameter COMP=SNA can be changed to a comment if VIEW/3270 is not being used

Vantage - VAN0289E CB VANTA1 did not Open, Error Code 5A

The x'5A' return code means "No entry is found in the VTAM configuration tables.
