New issues discovered after the 4.5 release:

  • The self-signed certificate on the appliance will be changed during update to reflect Broadcom. If your browser cached the previous certificate, clear the browser's cache for the website or the browser may not trust the connection.

  • 18-NOV-2020: Upgrade to 4.5 will replace your custom imported certificate
The initial release of Symantec EDR 4.5, build 4.5.0-807, has an upgrade defect which replaces custom imported certificates with Symantec EDR's new default self-signed certificate.  See KB 203226 for workaround steps.  Customers who upgrade after 19-NOV-2020 receive the 4.5.0-814 upgrade package, which does not perform this behavior.

  • After upgrading to SEDR 4.5 the web GUI is available on both the default port (443) as well as the custom configured port

  • SEDR 4.5 resolved the vulnerability allowing SHA1 and SSHv1 connections to the appliance
