Issue/Introduction

An IDMS CV can encounter S878-10 errors which may eventually cause the CV to abend:

Release : All supported releases
Component : CA IDMS

Cause

There is not enough z/OS storage available for this CV's requirements.

Resolution

If the CV issues this message at startup:

IDMS DC016109 XTIOT disabled for dynamic allocation

then consider setting NON_VSAM_XTIOT=YES in z/OS to move the TIOT above the line.

Consider also setting SWA=ABOVE in z/OS (Scheduler Work Area).
