Problem listing Account Templates from a Custom Connector (ADLDS)

Issue/Introduction

Account Templates are not visible in the Identity Manager UI when using the ADAM template to create a new ADLDS DYN endpoint. The templates appear correctly and without issues when viewed from the Provisioning Manager.

Symptoms:

• Account Templates do not appear in the Identity Manager Management Console/UI.
• The ADLDS endpoint is deployed using the userProxyFull class.

Environment

• Identity Manager 14.x
• ADLDS (Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services)
• Custom Connector (DYN endpoint)

Cause

The issue is caused by the configuration of the User Attribute named "Native Object Class."

Resolution

Follow these steps to resolve the display issue for Account Templates:

1. Open Connector Xpress and select the Native Object Class user attribute.
2. In the Advanced Options section (middle panel), click the Generate button next to JavaBean Property Name.
3. Redeploy the DYN endpoint.
4. Run the RoleDefinition tool to generate the updated JAR file.
5. Copy the generated JAR file to the lib folder of Identity Manager on every node in the cluster.
6. Restart the Identity Manager service on all nodes.
7. Import the roleDef.xml file for this connector.
